Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are between you and QB Insurance LLC, doing business as Quote Bot ("we", "us", "Quote Bot"). By using quote-bot.com, our calculators, or our chat assistant, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Quote Bot is

We are a licensed insurance agency, holding agency licences in 34 states and producer licences in a further 13 — listed at /about-us/our-licenses/. We help you compare insurance products and, if you choose, apply for them through the carriers we represent. We can only transact business in states where we are licensed.

What we are not:

• We are not an insurance carrier. We do not issue policies, and we do not pay claims. The carrier does both.
• We do not give legal, tax, or financial advice. Our calculators and educational content are general information, not a recommendation about your situation.
• We are not a substitute for reading the policy. The policy document and the carrier's own disclosures govern your coverage — not anything on this site.

3. Quotes are estimates

Every figure this site shows you is an estimate based on what you entered.

• A quote is not an offer of insurance and does not bind any carrier.
• Rates depend on underwriting. What you are actually offered may differ from what you were shown, sometimes substantially, and a carrier may decline to offer coverage at all.
• Rates and product availability change, and vary by state.
• Illustrations of policy values, where shown, rest on assumptions that are not guarantees of future results.

We work to keep the underlying rate data accurate but we cannot promise it is complete or current at the moment you look at it.

4. Eligibility and the information you give us

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You must give us accurate information, and you must not enter anyone else's personal details unless you are authorised to act for them.

Inaccurate information can lead to a quote that bears no relation to what you are offered, and — more seriously — can affect a carrier's decision on an application or a claim.

5. Text messages

If you tick the box asking for text messages, you agree to receive automated marketing text messages from Quote Bot at the number you gave us.

• Consent is not a condition of purchase.
• Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to stop. Reply HELP for help. Reply START to rejoin.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• You confirm the number is yours and agree to tell us if it changes or is reassigned.

How we handle text messaging consent, including that we never share it, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, to impersonate anyone, to submit another person's information without authority, to scrape or copy the site in bulk, to probe or interfere with its security, or to resell or republish our content without written permission.

7. Our content

The site, the calculators, the written content, and the Quote Bot name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Carrier names and marks belong to those carriers.

8. Third parties

We use service providers to run the service, and we link to carriers and other third parties. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites we do not control. When you apply for insurance, your information goes to the carrier and is governed by the carrier's own terms and privacy notice.

9. Availability

We try to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any estimate, rate or illustration it produces will prove accurate.

Nothing here limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by agreement, and nothing here affects your rights against an insurance carrier under a policy it has issued you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising out of your use of the service — even if we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100), or the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. You pay us nothing for this site: our commission is paid by the carrier.

This section does not limit liability for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved between us will be brought in the state or federal courts located in El Paso County, Colorado, and we each consent to those courts.

Insurance is regulated at state level, and nothing in this section limits any right you have to complain to, or seek assistance from, the insurance regulator in your own state.

13. If part of these terms does not hold

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is read as narrowly as necessary to make it enforceable. Our not enforcing something is not a waiver of it.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date above, and we will tell you if the change is material. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
